OVERVIEW

As we plant our feet back in the sand for SMHC 2026, the excitement is rising like the island tide. This year’s event promises bigger competition, brighter moments, and bolder branding opportunities.

Set against the sun-soaked backdrop of the U.S. Virgin Islands, SMHC continues to attract top teams from the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. mainland. As a USSSA-sanctioned tournament, SMHC ensures a highly organized, competitive atmosphere with official rankings, insurance coverage, and pathways to USSSA Nationals.

SMHC 2026 is making major waves with the exciting addition of two Girls Divisions: 12U & 14U!

As the tide rises, so does our commitment to expanding opportunities for young athletes across the Caribbean and beyond!

EVENT SCOPE

SMHC was created to enhance opportunities for young athletes through skill development, visibility, and community engagement. The tournament brings together coaches and players from various locations, each with unique backgrounds and expertise. Key objectives include:

1. Enhanced Exposure: Showcase talent by attracting teams from across the Caribbean and the U.S. mainland, providing athletes with a high-profile platform.
2. Skill Development: Offer competitive play to enhance basketball skills and experience diverse playing styles.
3. Community Building: Facilitate connections among athletes, coaches, and fans, fostering a strong basketball community.
4. Regional Growth: Expand USSSA’s presence in the Caribbean and allow teams to advance to USSSA Nationals.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Registration Opens: December 1, 2025

Registration Deadline: June 30, 2026

Participation in the Summer Madness Hoops Classic is open to all teams, whether or not they are USSSA registered. While USSSA-registered teams can compete for a spot in the 2026 Nationals, those who choose not to register with USSSA can still join the tournament and experience the exciting competition.

• $375 ENTRY FEE PER TEAM
