ABOUT SUMMER MADNESS HOOPS CLASSIC

OVERVIEW

Mylsland Ballers Inc. will host the Summer Madness Hoops Classic basketball tournament on the island of St. Thomas, USVI. This United States Specialty Sports Association “USSSA” sanctioned tournament will comprise of 5th through 8th grade boys to include teams from the United States, BVI, USVI, Puerto Rico, and other Caribbean islands. Amateur basketball, also known as Grassroots basketball, has been the cornerstone of many professional athletes. It has been the starting point and a foundational aspect that allows athletes to learn the game, develop the skill, and compete at high levels. And what better way to compete in competitive basketball than on a beautiful tropical island with ear-to-ear smiles and the joy of the people that make the island a must-see and experience.

EVENT SCOPE

The Summer Madness Hoops Classic’s focus is to bring untapped exposure and opportunity to the Virgin Islands while enhancing skill development of all athletes. The intent is to bring together coaches and players from various locations with unique backgrounds and different levels of expertise with one common goal: the overall well-being of players mentally, emotionally, and academically.

All the athletes will have an opportunity to make memorable connections with their basketball peers, while coaches’ network and build long-lasting relationships.

Fan travel packages and weekend passes will be sold later so you can follow your team to paradise.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Entry Fee is $375

Package Includes:

Transportation for visiting teams to and from the games. (Note: Teams are responsible for activities outside of the tournament schedule)
All participants (coaches and players) will be registered in the USSSA database.
All teams competing will qualify to compete in the upcoming USSSA Nationals on the mainland.
All teams will be insured entirely through USSSA.
Medals for 1st and 2nd place finalists in each Division
Trophy for the champions from each Division
