“One thing that stood out to me was that they did not only teach basketball, but they taught us to be respectful, responsible and team oriented. They made sure we all worked hard, no one was left behind. They challenged us all the time, but we had fun doing it. I am truly grateful for My Island Ballers. “

“I was privileged to volunteer train/coach with My Island Ballers in the US Virgin Islands. The program was not only an AAU basketball program but a well thought out plan of success for the student athletes. The program taught
life lessons, academic success principles and prepared young men through vigorous physical and skill development training to get to the next level. We are still witnessing the impact of the program to this day on both the
College level and the NBA. College coaches knew they were disciplined high IQ players with fantastic work ethic and simply great all-around well-mannered student athletes that have been battle tested and groomed for success.”

“My name is Justin Brunet, founder of Follow Through Foundation Inc. I was able to work/collaborate with the My Island Ballers organization in the summer of 2018. My experience with the organization was wonderful! They welcomed our boys with open arms and fostered a great environment for them to gain the confidence and experience needed transitioning from an international country to the United States for the first time. They go above and beyond for those underneath their care, and I believe their intentions are genuine, which is a rare occurrence nowadays. I look forward to working with them again soon to help create and foster opportunities for youth development throughout the Caribbean.”

“My name is Jean Woody Therenciel and I from Haiti. Coming to the States in 2018 as a student athlete (basketball) was a major change in my life. I was a senior in high school, and I just started to play basketball in less than a year before I come to the U.S. Even though I was new to the game of basketball, My Island Ballers AAU team gave me a chance to be a part of their travel team and gave me the opportunity to showcase myself on the basketball court and experienced all the fun traveling around the country. The coaching staff did a great job teaching us how to play the game of basketball the right way and it was fruitful because we won the AAU tournament championship. I am beyond grateful because I was able to be a part of the My Island Ballers.”

“My Island Ballers encompasses sportsmanship, teamwork, and skills. I have watched the coaching staff guide my son and others using lessons that could have only been taught on the court. The coaches work with the players and not only on the court, but they are a part of their everyday lives. My son was able to become an exceptional young man because of the mentorship from My Island Ballers. As a parent, I cannot say enough great things about My Island Ballers because the years that D’moi stayed under their training helped to develop his mindset and his skills. The coaches share their knowledge unselfishly in an effort for the players to improve their skills. My Island Ballers did not only teach him basketball, but they taught him how to work hard and provided him with life skills that he used as he grew. I am so grateful that my son had the opportunity to be a part of My Island Ballers and I highly recommend the group to other parents.”

“I Am Enock Rosil, and I’m from Haiti. I just wanted to share some information about my experience with My Island Ballers. I moved to the states back in 2018 as a student athlete to play Basketball, which was a major change in my life. At that time, I was a sophomore in high school who had just started playing basketball for like a year before I moved to the US. I could say that the game was new to me compared to back home, on that same year My Island Ballers AAU team gave me an opportunity to be a part of their travel team. I had a lot of fun and the opportunity to showcase myself and learn from my teammates and coaches. I had a chance to win my first national championship in the state while playing for some high-level coaches who understand the game. I felt really welcome on the team and I appreciate the fact the coaches were patient with me. To be honest it was a good environment for me, and the coaches staff did a good job on teaching the kids the game of Basketball. I look at My Island Ballers not only as a team but as a family. Every time I look at my ring it brings back a lot of memories that I had with this family. I’m beyond grateful because of the opportunity I had to be a part of My Island Ballers.”

“Being a part of My Island ballers was a great learning experience. The coaches worked hard to help me become a better athlete on and off the court. They took interest in me and being from the British Virgin Islands, I felt appreciated. They instilled the passion for the game in me and taught me a lot. I was able to learn the simple strategies and skilled fundamentals of the game, which led me to be successful on the court. They always stressed the importance of discipline and hard work. They held all of us accountable to the team. One thing that stood out to me was that they did not only teach basketball, but they taught us to be respectful, responsible and team oriented. They made sure we all worked hard, no one was left behind. They challenged us all the time, but we had fun doing it. I am truly grateful for My Island Ballers.”
